Due to City of Dallas budget cuts, Lochwood Library will soon lose cherished members of its staff, some to lay-offs; some to other library branches. We have all heard about city budget woes, but our local library is feeling the impact first-hand.
We anticipate the loss of 9 employees from Lochwood; four will be transferred and five will be leaving the library system. Don’t let them leave before you share your appreciation of their great service.
Be at Lochwood Branch Library on Saturday, September 25, from 2 to 4pm. Help us say “thank-you!” for all of the friendly attention of these individuals before they are gone.
The neighborhood is invited: Lochwood Branch Library Friends is hosting a get together that will give more patrons and friends a chance to say goodbye to these staff members. Join us in the Black Box Theater for light refreshments:
