Lego Storytime @ Lochwood

Lego airplane.9.13.13Thirty parents and children attended LEGO storytime at the Lochwood Branch Library on September 13, 2013. Sarah Boeglin read a LEGO book, Grow Caterpillar Grow.    Then the older preschool children enjoyed playing with the LEGO DUPLO blocks to build caterpillars, cars, trains, airplanes, towers, a castle, and more.   The younger toddlers played with larger foam shapes to have fun building also.  Sarah provided a LEGO book display of various reading levels and talked with parents and caregivers about the Ready-to-Read Level Pre-1 books.   Afterward playing a mother was reading a LEGO book to her child in the children’s area.

In the Fall of 2012 the Lochwood Branch Library was one of the official winners of the 2012 LEGO DUPLO Read! Build! Play! Contest.   We received the DUPLO blocks and several LEGO books.
